What I Offer:

Art Therapy Session

1 Hour - $120

NO ART EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY. I offer art therapy to clients of all ages. Our emotional processing and traumatic memories are often difficult to articulate in words. Art is a different approach we can use to bypass some of the brain’s trauma responses so that we can take ownership of our own story.

Art produced in therapy may appear nonsensical at first to the outside observer. The purpose of the art created in sessions is to process, not to make a commercially finished product for the outside world. It is to create something entirely for you.

Common issues that are aided by art therapy treatment are depression, anxiety, ADHD symptoms, attachment-wounds, perfectionism, PTSD, CPTSD, and codependency.

Child Counseling

1 Hour - $120

Counseling with children is one-on-one unless otherwise specified. I use a a few different modalities when working with children: art therapy, narrative therapies, play therapy, strengths-based approaches, attachment-based approaches, and family systems approaches.

Typical issues I have worked with in child counseling are anxiety, attachment issues, oppositional defiance, trauma, grief, family conflicts, parentification, family restructuring, bullying, separation anxiety, issues of over control, and school issues.

Parent Check-In

30 min - 1 hr: $60-$120

In child counseling, parent engagement can greatly affect potential outcomes for the client. As such, I typically recommend meeting with the parents for check-ins and homework assignments to try within the family system. In these meetings, I can also give an overview and a plan of care once I have establish rapport with the client.

The frequency of meetings vary and depend on the presenting issues, the severity of symptoms and the goals for the client.

Finances

I cannot currently bill insurance, but I am able to generate a superbill for the purposes of out-of-network reimbursement for some insurances. Otherwise, I accept online payments through the my Simple Practice portal.

Currently my sliding scale slots are filled. I will update this website if I have a sliding scale spot reopen.

Late Policy

I generally consider 15 minutes late a missed session, and will bill accordingly, unless there is an emergency or prior communication.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your session, please notify me by text, voicemail or email at least 24 hours in advance. If you don’t show up for your appointment or you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged a “Late Cancellation Fee" of $60, unless there is an emergency. This includes sudden illness (sans emergency).

Good Faith Estimate

By law, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of projected services. This Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created, and does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment.

The Good Faith Estimate is not a contract between provider and client and does not obligate or require the client to obtain any of the listed services from the provider.

You may also start a dispute resolution process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). If you choose to use the dispute resolution process, you must start the dispute process within 120 calendar days (about 4 months) of the date on the original bill.

To learn more and get a form to start the process, go to www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call HHS at (800) 985-3059.
